July 4th Run!

The Board of Statesville Swim Club is happy to announce the 5th annual Independence Day 5k Race and Fun Run!

This event will be held at the pool, and run through the neighborhood. All persons entered in the event will get a free guest pass to use the pool and facilities for the day and T-Shirt (if entered by 6/16/2014). Fees will be $20 until June 30th, then they will be $25. You will be able to register online and at the pool. Registration will be available starting tomorrow (5-24-2014). We are still working on additional details.

Date: 7/4/2014 (Friday)

Registration $20 till 6-30-2014, $25 after

Registration Opens: 7am

Race Start: 8am

Awards immediately following

Each entry will get a T-shirt (if entered by 6/16/2014) and a free guest pass to be used anytime.

We are planning on ordering some extra shirts, those will be on a first come basis.

Ride, Run or Walk! Choose from 3 long distance cycling routes or choose to run a 5K or 10K race, all of which are professionally timed. We also have a 1 mile fun run, perfect for all skill levels! Register before April 11th to guarantee you will receive an event t-shirt. All proceeds benefit, Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County's Rainbow Kidz Program.

6:30am- Check-In & Day of Registration Begins
8:00am- All Riders Depart
8:15am- All Runners Depart
10:00am- Fun Run

Cyclist enthusiast can choose from a 10/35/60 mile bike ride and enjoy a scenic ride through North Iredell County. Runners/Walkers can choose a 10K or 5K run through the beautiful neighborhoods surrounding Lakewood Park in Statesville, NC. All rides and the 10K and 5K are professionally timed through Blue Mountain Revival Productions, with real time results uploaded as you cross the finish line! Pull your race results up and print them to take with you, with our new kiosks! Personalize your own race bib and run in honor of someone special....or maybe you want to run in honor or your "new" self or that old pair of jeans that are now 2 sizes too small!

All proceeds will support Rainbow Kidz, a pediatric program of Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County. Rainbow Kidz supports patients and families who are dealing with a life limiting illness or have experienced the loss of a loved one. The fastest growing portion of this program is the Grief Groups offered in our local schools. In just the first semester of the 2013/2014 school year, Rainbow Kidz served in 21 schools and touched the lives of nearly 153 students; all at no cost to our school system.

Running of the Elves, 2014.

It's spring......and yes we are already working on the Running of the Elves, 2014.  The event will be held at 6PM on December 6th, 2014.  The elves and I are adding a few things to this years event, it will be ELF-TASTIC. 


In the next few weeks, I will get the registration pages set up and running.  With the success of last year, we fully expect this years event to be GINORMOUS. 


Make plans now, we look forward to seeing you there.

Weather tomorrow is perfect running weather.  Register tonight starting at 5 to 7pm. Tomorrow starting at 4pm.

Updated Race course has been added to the Facebook site (and below), only one small change, nothing big.

Online Registration has closed, you can still register at the early pack pick-up today (friday) form 5-7pm or you can register romorrow starting at 4pm.

Schedule of Events for this Weekend AWESOME Race

Good Evening!

The Race is coming together! We are only 4 days away. Below is a schedule of events for early pick up and race day info. The early pack pick up and race day pick up will be at the race HQ. The starting line is 1 block away from the address shown below and the finish line will be at this address.

There is parking all over downtown, parking should not be an issue.

As you can see by the schedule, we are having early pack pick-up on Friday from 5pm to 7pm. We will open registration and check in on Saturday at 4pm. We will also be having the drawing for door prizes BEFORE the race starts. This is to try and get everyone to get to the race early.

We are also having a costume contest!!!! Dress up, you will not be the only one. We have been emailed by several people who are going all out----
